Privacy Policy
What personal information WigBae collects, why, and your choices under PIPEDA, Quebec Law 25 and U.S. privacy laws.
Last updated: November 2026
This policy explains what personal information WigBae (“we”, “us”) collects on wigbae.com, why, and your choices. We aim to comply with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (as amended by Law 25), and applicable U.S. privacy laws.
Operator / person in charge of the protection of personal information: WigBae (operated by the site owner), Quebec, Canada. Contact: via our contact form.
1. Information we collect
a) Information you give us — contact form. When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address and message. We use it only to respond to you. Messages are stored in our website’s admin area and forwarded to our email inbox. We keep them for up to 24 months, then delete them, unless we need them longer to resolve an issue.
b) Analytics — Google Analytics 4. We may use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, approximate location at the city/country level, device and browser type, how you arrived). GA4 uses cookies or similar identifiers. According to Google, GA4 does not log or store full IP addresses. We do not use GA4 to identify you personally, and we do not combine it with other data to do so. Data is processed by Google, which may store it outside Canada, including in the United States.
c) Affiliate links and cookies. When you click an affiliate link, you leave WigBae and go to the retailer’s site, usually through an affiliate network such as Impact. The network and/or retailer may set cookies on your device to record that the sale came from our link. We do not receive your name, payment details or shipping address; we only receive aggregated reports of clicks and commissions. Those cookies are governed by the retailer’s and network’s own privacy policies.
d) Technical data. Our web hosting provider may automatically log technical information (such as IP address, browser type and request time) for security and to keep the site running, and retains these logs for a limited period. Our contact form uses a temporary, one-way coded version of your IP address to limit spam; it is not stored with your message.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive information, and we ask that you do not send health details through the contact form.
2. How we use information
- To reply to your messages.
- To measure and improve the site’s content.
- To keep the site secure and prevent spam and abuse.
- To track affiliate commissions in aggregate.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising profiles.
3. Cookies and your choices
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
- You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser opt-out add-on.
Blocking cookies will not prevent you from reading the site.
4. Sharing
We share information only with service providers that help us run the site (hosting, analytics, email), under contractual or policy obligations to protect it, or when required by law. Some providers may store data outside Canada; when that happens, your information is subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, withdraw consent, or request deletion. Quebec residents also have rights under Law 25, including to be informed about and to limit certain technologies used to identify or profile them. Residents of certain U.S. states (for example California) may have rights to know, delete and correct personal information, and to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” — we do not sell personal information.
To make a request, contact us using the details above. We will respond within 30 days. If you are in Canada and not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, in Quebec, the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.
6. Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including HTTPS, spam protection on forms, limited admin access and regular updates. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
7. Children
WigBae is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date shows the latest version.
